Every feature, step by step — from your first nursing timer to family sharing and the Apple Watch app.
Get set up
On first launch, add your baby's name, birthdate, and gender. You can add more babies later.
The app opens on the Home tab — your baby's name sits in the top-left corner, and the quick-log action bar (Nursing, Bottle, Sleep, Diaper, Health) sits at the bottom.
Once you log your first entry, Today's Summary cards appear: Nursing, Sleep, Diapers, Bottle, Last Feed, and Growth. Tap any card to jump to the detail behind the number.
Time a nursing session
Tap Nursing in the bottom action bar, then choose Breastfeeding or Bottle at the top.
Tap a side to start timing — the Left or Right button starts the timer for that breast, and one tap switches sides mid-session. A "Last used" marker reminds you which side you finished on last time.
The screen shows the session total plus separate L and R times.
When you're done, tap End & Save Session — or Discard Session if it was a false start. Closing the sheet mid-session offers Keep Timing in Background, so the timer keeps running while you use the rest of the app.
Log a bottle feeding
Tap Bottle in the bottom action bar.
Enter the amount — BabyLogly supports both ml and oz, switchable in Settings under Units.
Add an optional note and save. The Bottle card on the Home tab keeps the day's running total.
Track sleep
Tap Sleep in the bottom action bar, then tap the circle to start the timer.
The timer survives leaving the app — choose Keep Timing in Background and check back later. As a safety net, sleep auto-ends after 16 hours and is flagged so you can check the duration.
Tap Stop Timer when your baby wakes. On the Save Sleep screen, pick the sleep type, nudge the times with the quick −5m/−15m adjusters if you were late to stop it, add a note, and tap Save Sleep Record.
Slept through and forgot the timer? Use Log Past Sleep to enter a session after the fact.
Record a diaper change
Tap Diaper in the bottom action bar.
Under Diaper Status, tap Wet, Dirty, or Mixed — one tap logs it instantly with the current time.
Need to backdate or annotate? Open More options first to set the Time or add Notes — they apply to the next status you tap.
Log health & fever events
Tap Health in the bottom action bar to open the Health Entry form.
Enter a Temperature and how it was Measured (oral, ear, forehead, rectal…) — or leave it empty to log only a medication dose or a note.
Record a Medication with its dose and Unit. The form shows when the last dose of that medication was given, so night-shift handoffs are safe.
Tap Save. The full illness history lives in the Health card — handy for doctor visits.
Track growth
Tap the Growth card on the Home tab (or add a growth entry from the + button).
Enter Weight, Height / Length, and Head Circumference — each field is optional, and units (kg/lb, cm/in) are switchable in place.
Save to build a measurement history you can review and edit any time.
Review the timeline
Open the Timeline tab to see every event for the day in chronological order.
Switch the View Mode between Time and Activities, filter by event type, or tap the date to pick another day — This Week shows the weekly pattern.
Long-press any entry to edit or delete it — every log type has its own dedicated edit screen.
Missed something earlier? On Home, tap the + button (top right) to add an entry that happened in the past.
Use multiple babies
On Home, tap your baby's name in the top-left corner and choose Add Baby.
Switch children instantly from the same menu — each baby keeps separate logs and timers.
Manage profiles in Settings → Baby Management: tap a baby to switch, swipe a row to delete.
Share with a partner or caregiver
In Settings → Family Sharing, pick a baby and send an invite — it goes through the normal iOS share sheet (Messages, Mail, or a link).
Choose whether the other person can edit entries or only view them.
Once accepted, you both see and log the same baby's data from your own iPhones via iCloud. Either person can stop sharing at any time.
Apple Watch, Live Activities & iCloud
Open BabyLogly on your Apple Watch — it shows the selected baby with Nursing and Sleep buttons and when each last happened. Start or stop timers from your wrist; everything syncs with the iPhone automatically.
Active timers appear as Live Activities on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — glance without unlocking, tap to jump back in.
Turn iCloud Backup on in Settings → Data & Backup to sync across your devices. It's optional — your data stays on-device and in your private iCloud container either way, with no third-party analytics or ads.
