Introduction
BabyLogly helps caregivers track baby care events (nursing, bottle feeding, sleep, diaper changes, health records) and syncs this data across the user's devices using Apple's iCloud via CloudKit.
Data Collection
We collect the baby care data you enter in the app, including but not limited to: feeding times (nursing and bottle), sleep periods, diaper changes, temperature readings, medication records, and brief notes entered by the user.
Health Data
BabyLogly allows you to log health-related information such as body temperature readings and medication doses. This data is stored locally on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your private iCloud container. We do not transmit health data to any third-party server or analytics service. Health data is treated with the same security as all other app data and is never used for advertising or profiling.
Children's Privacy
BabyLogly is designed for use by parents and caregivers, not by children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). All data entered into the app is provided by the parent or caregiver. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us at the address below so we can remove it.
CloudKit Usage
BabyLogly uses Apple CloudKit to sync user data across devices tied to the user's iCloud account. CloudKit is provided by Apple; you can review Apple's privacy terms at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/. You can disable iCloud sync in the app's Settings.
Data Storage
Data is stored locally on the user's device and, when iCloud sync is enabled, synchronized to the user's private iCloud container via CloudKit. We do not store your data on our own servers.
Notifications
BabyLogly may send local notifications to remind you about active timers (e.g., ongoing nursing or sleep sessions). These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not sent through any external push notification service. No notification data leaves your device.
Live Activities
On supported devices (iOS 16.1+), BabyLogly can display Live Activities on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island to show active timer status. Live Activities are rendered locally by iOS and do not transmit any data to external servers. You can disable Live Activities in the app's Settings.
Apple Watch
BabyLogly includes an Apple Watch companion app that communicates with the iPhone app using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. Data exchanged between the iPhone and Apple Watch stays within your devices and is not routed through any third-party server. The Watch app shares timer state through a private App Group container.
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal or baby care data with third parties. Data may be processed by Apple as part of CloudKit service according to Apple's terms.
Family Sharing
BabyLogly optionally lets you share a baby's data with one other person — for example a co-parent or caregiver — so you can both view and log entries for the same baby. This is entirely opt-in: nothing is shared unless you explicitly choose to share a baby profile from the app's Settings.
Sharing uses Apple's CloudKit Sharing (CKShare). Invitations are sent through iOS's own share sheet (Messages, Mail, or a copied link) — BabyLogly does not operate its own invitation delivery system and never sees the invitation link's contents. Once accepted, the same baby care data described above (feeding, sleep, diaper, and health entries) syncs directly between the participants' devices via Apple's CloudKit, under each participant's own iCloud account. We do not have separate access to shared data beyond what CloudKit already provides for your own account's data.
You choose whether an invited participant can edit entries or only view them, and either person can stop sharing at any time from within the app, which removes the other person's access to that baby's data the next time their device connects to iCloud.
Data Retention
Your data is retained on your device and in your iCloud account for as long as you choose to keep it. You can delete individual log entries or entire baby profiles at any time within the app. Deleted data is removed from your device immediately and from iCloud via CloudKit synchronization. If you delete the app, local data is removed with the app. To remove iCloud data, use the iCloud storage settings on your device or contact us for assistance.
User Control
Users can delete their data within the app. Deleting data will remove it locally and from iCloud via CloudKit synchronization. You can also disable iCloud sync entirely in the app's Settings. For persistent issues, contact us at the address below.
